About Us

Our story

For generations our family has grown olives and pistachios in groves along the Euphrates. Until our grandfathers' time, the family carried its own olives, olive oil and pistachios by boat down the river to towns in Türkiye and Syria.

Şura Olive Oil grew out of Ateşoğlu Olive Oil. Alongside our own mill, we farm more than 100 hectares of olive groves in Şanlıurfa province. These groves give a small share of our oil: a single-variety extra virgin olive oil that carries the terroir of southern Türkiye.

Olive oil and pistachios

In 2019 we brought the family's olive oil and pistachio businesses together under Şura Kuruyemiş. Today we press and trade thousands of tons of olive oil a year, and we hull, process and export thousands of tons of pistachios.
